ALBANY - The City of Albany is asking for your help to keep its children warm.

As part of the Mayors Fall Drop Off, the community is encouraged to donate new winter clothes for needy school-aged children.

This year's program, being held in conjunction with National Make A Difference Day, will take place on Saturday, October 23 at the Armory Garage at 926 Central Avenue.

Residents are asked to "drop off" new mittens/gloves, hats, scarves, or coats at the plaza between the hours of 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

"This annual event is always a tremendous success due to the outpouring of support from our community, and I am confident that the citizens of Albany will once again come together to support our young people, who will be the recipients of these much needed items," said Mayor Jennings. "I encourage everyone to use this opportunity to ensure that our children are kept warm during the cold winter months."

If you are unable to participate on October 23, you can "drop-off" mittens/gloves, hats, or scarves at Lodge's Department Store in the days prior to the event.
