As a my mom of a toddler, I have spent countless weekends removing crayon, food and marker stains from wall and furniture. As a result, I've tried every cleaning product on the market. Many of them were either not
effective or had strong odors. So now, I use common household items because they work the best. So here are my tips on erasing common kid stains!

1. Send grass stains packing with meat tenderizer.
It may sound crazy but meat actually can remove grass stains. Just sprinkle it on the garment before tossing in the wash machine. When tenderizer mixes with water, it'll lift the green smudges like magic.

2. Use rubbing alcohol get marker stains off the wall.
It seems like no matter how much you try and prevent kids from marking up the walls, it ends happing regardless. So that's when rubbing alcohol comes in! Simply buff away the marks with a clean cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol. Moms will be happy to know that this also works on stains caused by permanent marker as well!

3. Erase fruit juice stains with boiling water.
Notice huge fruit juice stain on your child's clothes? Don't worry, just use boiling water. While the stain is still fresh, blot the excess juice, then pour the boiling water through the stain to make it vanish. Of course, be sure to do this when the garment is not currently being worn.

4. WD-40 is perfect for removing crayon stains off of clothing.
Crayon stains and kids go hand in hand, so its important that you're equipped with the right stain removal tools. Place the garment on paper towels and spray both sides with WD-40. Next, rub liquid dish-washing soap into the stain until the crayon disappears. Wash clothes as you normally would.

5. Remove chocolate with an iron.
My final tip on stain removal, is use an iron chocolate smudges. Let the stain dry and scrap off with a butter knife. Heat the iron on low, lay paper towels over the stain and run the iron over the area to life the chocolate. Then you can wash clothes as usual.
